What is it?
Firefox is a free web browser made by Mozilla, a program that allows you to surf the Internet, download images, sounds and movies and access webmail (email on the Internet).
Why do I need it?
You need a web browser to view and interact with pages on the world wide web. It lets you read an online news service, buy goods or services online or communicate with other Internet users. Firefox is a free browser that’s particularly easy to use. It lets you open multiple tabs (simultaneously open more than one web page), all of which are then instantly viewable. This can be useful when doing comparative shopping online, for example. Firefox is also secure, automatically blocking viruses, spyware and pop-up ads. You can easily save your favourite websites using bookmarks, then organise these into groups to make them easy to manage.
Where do I get it from?
You can get Firefox from the Mozilla website (see link on right)
Installation is extremely simple. Click on the Download Firefox button (1).

What will I see when I install it?
When the download is complete you will see a setup dialogue box, click Next and accept the License terms and continue to click Next, then finally Finish.
When completed the installation places a shortcut icon on your PC desktop (3). Simply click on the icon to start the program.
