PRIVACY POLICY

At International Masters Publishers Limited (IMP) we are committed to protecting your privacy and your Personal Information will be handled by us with the greatest care at all time. This Privacy Policy sets out how we use your Personal Information and the measures we have implemented to protect it. IMP is a member of the Direct Marketing Association and abides by its Code of Practice concerning the collection and use of your personal information. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.

Information we may collect from you

We may collect and process the following data about you:

This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our site, subscribing to our service, posting material or requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you enter a competition or promotion sponsored by IMP, and when you report a problem with our site.

• IMP may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.
• Details of transactions you carry out through our site and of the fulfilment of your orders.

Your Personal Information

The Personal Information you provide to us when you return an order voucher by mail or order by phone, email or online will be stored and used to process your order, deliver the products you have requested and maintain up-to-date transactional and shipment records, billing and payment records and customer contact records. From time to time we may use your contact details (name and address, telephone and/or mobile number and/or email address) if we need to contact you for any reason concerning your order or your account. By supplying your Personal Information to us, you agree that we may process it for the purposes set out here.

We may also use your contact details to keep you up to date by mail phone or email (where you have supplied an email address for this purpose) with information on IMP’s products and services or to provide details of our special offers. You may request us not to do so either by checking the relevant box on the order form or page or by informing our Customer Service agents when ordering by phone. If you decide at any time that you do not wish to receive any further marketing information from us, simply contact us to notify us of this and we will remove your contact details from all our internal mailing lists.

We may also, where it is permissible under law for us to do so, process your Personal Information for customer segmentation and profiling purposes or combine it with data obtained from other sources for the purposes of databank administration and to maintain up–to-date suppression files.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.


Information Disclosure

It will be necessary for us to disclose certain details of your Personal Information to our employees and agents to enable us, amongst other things, to deliver the items you have ordered deal with customer queries and requests and process and collect your payments. All external processing for these purposes will be carried out on our direct instructions as Data Controller and under conditions of strict security. IMP will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

We may from time to time wish to share only your contact details with third parties whose products and services may be of interest to you unless you have requested us not to do so by checking the box on the order voucher or page or by notifying our Customer Service agents that you object to such disclosure. You may notify us at any time that you do not wish us to share your contact details with third parties - simply contact us to tell us of your preference.

We may, as necessary, disclose your Personal Information to ensure our compliance with any applicable legal requirements or if required to by court order or in the context of legal proceedings or if it is relevant in the context of a merger or acquisition.


International Data Transfers

IMP may transfer your Personal Information to another country within or outside the European Union and the European Economic Area for purposes of information selection and processing. We have taken measures to ensure that your Personal Information enjoys the necessary level of data protection under EU Data Protection Directive 95/46 at all times and that it is processed in compliance with the principles set forth in this Privacy Policy and with applicable law.

IMP and its agents use appropriate security measures to provide reasonable precautions against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction of the Personal Information we collect. Our employees and agents who have access to your Personal Information are bound by strict confidentiality obligations and all third parties who process Personal Information on behalf of IMP are bound by strict security and confidentiality standards.


Rights of Access, Correction and Deletion

IMP will use its best endeavours to provide you with access to your Personal Information upon request, and we will follow your instructions in correcting such information if it is inaccurate or deleting it as you require (unless it is not technically feasible or grossly impractical for us to do so). If you wish to exercise your right of access, correction or deletion simply contact us and we will carry your request free of charge. We will require proof of identity before granting such rights in order to verify the validity of the request. We also reserve the right not grant access requests where these are manifestly unreasonable on the basis of their number, repetitive or systematic nature, or where locally applicable law does not require such access to be granted.


Enforcement

We perform regular reviews of this Privacy Policy through internal audits and those conducted by third parties, as appropriate. If you believe that IMP has mishandled your Personal Information in any way, please notify us immediately in writing to the e-mail or postal address set out below, marking your notification “Data Protection”. After receiving your written notification, a representative of IMP will contact you immediately in order to discuss your concerns.
